Departure

I’ve come to see those alcoves
Where, once, you stood like a phantom of solace
(And I touched your ambulant shimmer
With a devastating fixity)
Potter of time has morphed them into circles
Enveloping what’s been permeated by a void
I’ve come to untie my walk
To get it freed from somnambulation
So that the false luminosity may perish freely
I’ve come here to forget you thoroughly
