“Resurrection Plea”

Yearning has soaked the moon
With that provoking pale gloom
Which my smile sheds, long after
You drink from my parched lips.
See, this thirst taints everything;
My blood & the contours of the dying moon,
My Sins & salvation,
My Virtues & retribution.
Come back,
Drink from me again…
So that everything
And I be restored,
So that I be resurrected,
And the aureate glow
Of the moon be rekindled.
